German manual and no nav disc upon redelivery

As some of you know, I took redelivery exactly 2 weeks ago from today. Upon redelivery the german manual was in the glovebox compartment and I showed it to my ca as he was going through car functions with me. My ca stated I should have received a welcome package before I took delivery in Munich which should have included U.S Nav disc and I told him "No, I didn't receive it." Since both items were missing at redelivery he told me he would email vpc so that they could send english manual and nav disc to me. 2 weeks have gone by now and I haven't received anything in the mail. I left a voice message for my ca 2 days ago and he didn't return the call. I spoke with a gal by the name of Amber Wood via the 800 bmw # about a week ago and she asked me to wait until Monday (2 days ago) and if i still didn't receive the package, then give her a call. I spoke with Amber today and she said she would follow up with the dealer. I called the ED department today and stated I received a German manual in Munich, the rep said it should be in english for state side customers, duh! the rep told me to put it in writing and send it to them via email and call manager of dealership if i wanted to.

I was over at the parts department the other day and asked if i could have a nav disc since i didn't get one initially and the parts guy said he would have to charge me $200 for it or take it up with my sales guy. WTF! Why couldn't they give me one from the parts department and get reiumburse from vpc or something?

How can they leave me hanging like this? What should I do? Wait for the response from Amber and ED department? I doubt they'll respond to me. Bee, Jspira your thoughts and recommendation please since your vets of the ed process. thanks

I'd speak to the owner (or sales manager) of your dealership there in PA. and ask him to have your manual and DVD FEDEXed to you tomorrow. Tell them you are really disappointed in the service they've given you on this problem and you're going to have a hard time referring business to them if they treat customers like this. This is totally bogus.... They should have checked all this at the VPC.

This reminds me that folks that do ED really need to take redelivery seriously. (I'm not saying you didn't, Gov) I was so anxious to get my E60 last year I didn't check for the CD changer magazine....and guess what: not there! This year it was the flashlight. If you leave the dealership after redelivery and you notice something damaged or missing...you are taking a chance the dealer won't believe it's the dealer's problem.

If you don't want the German manual, I'll take it as mine came with English. In fact, I'll swap if you want (not that this changes the fact that you should've gotten the right manual).

No question you should have the DVD at redelivery. That is SOP.

Seriously, let me know if you don't want the manual. I was actually disappointed mine was in English.

Interesting because Herr Ernst specifically showed me that it was the English manual along with radio etc controls when we were going over the car. I didn't get the holder that a lot of people discussed on the site though and without the holder, it fit the glovebox fine.

I brought the manual, flashlight, extra key fob, triangle and first-aid back with me. I didn't bother with the cigarette lighter since I don't smoke. Of course the most importantly thing that I didn't bring back was the plate.

The holder is not supplied at delivery in Freimann. It is provided upon reentry. You are right, the books fit fine without a holder. My gloves also fit, appropriately enough. Nothing else, though...

My DVD nav and manual (in a black leather case) were in my trunk when I picked up my car. VPC just throws them in the trunk - it looks like in your case either VPC forgot or the dealer removed it before handing off the car to you. Waiting for BMWNA/ED and bitching at the dealer is the only way you have.
