Now that both of these cars can be picked up around the same price, what would you choose & why?

They're both excellent cars but i'd pick the M5. Dunno why but lately every M5 I see just appeals to me. still havent figured out why.

I love both equally. However, I don't need 4 doors and thus, M3 is the one I'd pick right now.

The ///M5 is awesome, but I would pick the ///M3 for its smaller size and greater tossability.

As much as the E39 M5 is one of my favorite cars of all time, I'd pick the E46 M3 because its a superior track toy. If I had kids or never went to the track, my choice would probably change.
