Regarding ED leases ... Quote: I looked into this and this is what I remember. Your lease will not start until your car is delivered to you in the US. However how many kms are put on the car will be converted to miles when they do the US change over and your mileage will reflect that. Other then that it starts when you pick it up at the dealership. If anyone has done this, pitch in, but that is what I recall talking to the salesperson. | This thread. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=123747 |

Wow...lots of bizarre mis-information. By the way...the lease "starts" 2 weeks before Euro delivery but the delivery date (and hence the end-of-lease date) is based on the Munich pick-up date.....right? My delivery date on all official BMW paperwork is the day I got it in Munich. Contract date and delivery date are 2 different things.

Contract date and delivery date are 2 different things. | The lease starts on whatever date the buyer signs, which should be about 14 days prior. I think mine started 15 days prior but who's counting. The deliery date is the actual delivery date in Munich. Now, the one of of membership in the BMW CCA - that's a whole other question.
