I have a 07 x3 with Nav. On the map their are multi markings all around the map screen witch are a star inside a box. Does any one know what this is ? Also I am trying to find out what all of the different markings are. Nothing in manual and can not find any information on the net. Thanks for any help !

There should be a separate manual just for the NAV system - do you have it? If not - call your salesman and get it. There should be some info that can help in that little book.

Yes, I do have the nav manual ,but it does not talk about or show symbols. The manual does not even show how to remove or put back the icons onto the screen. Had to play with the unit for some time to get the icons on and off screen.

it's probably the last point of interest you selected
if you try to find information about a bank, there would be a bunch of $ signs all over the map.
