Hi Folks,
Just got back from 3 weeks of utter bliss driving my new Interlagos Blue M3 around Europe.
Flew in to Munich on Lufthansa (my wonderful and gracious wife treated us to Business Class tickets

).
BTW, although it doesn't have any charm whatsoever, I heartily recommend Le Meridien in Munich.
You will get plenty of charm on the road, so if you want to relax after your flight, and recover for the big day (delivery) at the spa, you can't go wrong with this hotel.
Whole trip was winged for the most part, but if you stick to Relais & Chateaux's in France and Italy and the Parador chain in Spain, you are in for a treat. A deserved special mention also for the Hotel Reconquista in Oviedo and Hotel de Londres in San Sebastián.
If anybody has any questions or needs recommendations, feel free to drop me a line.
Our itinerary took us through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France and Spain.
Total mileage: 3500. The first 1200 were hell because of the break in. After that,
a quick pit stop for an oil change, sport button activated and, well, you can imagine...
I must be on several radar camera shots in each of these countries.
I hope I don't receive anything in the mail...
Car was dropped off in Madrid. I filled out the paperwork on a Friday and had somebody drop it off for me on Monday (our plane left at 6:00 a.m.)
so that I could keep the car for the weekend. Everything went smoothly and without a hitch.
Mrs. Grueso (who runs the office) was extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with.
And now, without further , here are some pics to wet your appetite.
I can post more if there's any interest (I took over 800...). I'll be putting up a site to document the whole thing in the near future.
Truly a trip of a lifetime. There is really no other way to buy a car...
Now it's time to wait for my car. It's just been three days and it's already killing me.
I have my E36 M3 and All Road to drive around, but frankly, they just don't compare.
I am truly amazed at the E46 M3. I knew it was good. Just not *that* good...
You know you've come to the right place when the first thing you see at the airport is...

Plenty of this in Munich. Non stop as a matter of fact...

The big day. I was hung over and feeling ill. But I quickly recovered...

All right, brother. I know how everything works. Let me drive the damn thing!

The pic speaks for itself...

Lake Cuomo and Villa d'Este.

All I can say is that them Cardinals knew how to live.

In my humble opinion, this little town is far more beautiful than Bellagio.

Lake Maggiore.

Ah, the Italian Alps...

If you're into cycling, you know what this is...
