Placed my order (again!!) last night for my ED.
330i, Manual, ZPP, iDrive, PDC, Sat. radio prep, Arctic, Beige, Walnut (exterior and interior colors remain same as my 325).
Got a deal of $XXXX over invoice. Interestingly, the sales guy gave me a price of 325 on the paperwork which was at $32,695. I had to point out the mistake to get him to the right price of $36,310. Not sure if that was an unintentional mistake, or something done to screw me up later down the line (there is no way that price difference would not have been caught eventually).
Pickup date is 3/20. Trip includes Munich (duh!!), Regensburg (sp?), Prague, Innsbruck/Fussen, Venice, Florence, Rome, Siena, Pisa, Milan/Lake Como and drop off back to Munich.
People have cautioned me about Italy traffic and that there is no lane concept (or atleast people don't adhere to staying in them), but what the heck (hey, I have already totalled one car).
The other worry being that Gerling, winter tires, Germany law about snow tires thing. Can someone point me to where I can read what the new EU law states (are all-season tires not ok?), and the Gerling policy.
Thanks again to everyone in this group for all the valuable info! (and I am still going to bitch if they loose my car keys again during re-delivery).

The ADAC has the best info I've seen (not including newspaper articles) - see http://www.adac.de/Tests/Reifentests...p#atcm:8-69272 Gerling has nothing in writing; however, several people have been advised at the E.D. center that Gerling won't cover accidents resulting from having summer tires on a car when it's winter. BMW's own brochures state that summer / performance tires should not be used off season. Finally, All Seasons meet the letter of the law as long as they have an M+S designation.
