4 weeks, 5 days is all that it took....
Hip, Hip, Horray is what I said when I got the call today that my 750 rolled off the truck in Freeport NY. Everyone said that it was going to take 6-8 weeks but my dealer actually told me in advance that it would take about 4. Actually, it arrived at the port on 11/19 along with 3700 other cars from 4 ships that simultaneously arrived. This according to that very knowledgeable woman (forgot her name) who takes calls at the VPC. Based on a conversation with her, she informed me that the EPA can only take 500 cars / day off the ship and mine took nearly a week.
Although I haven't been as active on this board as I was prior to doing ED, I want to gratefully thank everyone who made my trip so memorable. Without Bimmerfest's EDers I know that I wouldn't have had as much fun and confidence going abroad alone and experiencing the thrills and excitement that I encountered. I had an outstanding experience because of these guys!!
For those going to Germany for the first time, everything that you read on this board is accurate and first rate written by very knowledgeable people who really are passionate about owning a BMW.
To all the regulars and those putting in their $.02, have a happy and healthy holiday season!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations! Thank you for the wonderful company in Munich. I really had a great fun time with you and Rolf. Happy holidays to you and your family.
PS: My car arrived a few days ago but it is stuck in the customs. It will be very soon for redelivery. Anyway, I sold my beloved E30 M3 a couple of days ago, and I am still in a denial stage. It was a nice car. best regards. J.
