What do you wish you had known before your Euro. Delivery trip?
Help me out a little bit with the articles I´m writing: what do you wish you had known (about anything, car, country, driving, weather, food, money, local customs etc.) before the trip that you know now. Thanks!

I didn't see anywhere in the gas station to buy them and didn't really know they were required to be honest, just didn't know till i got back from the trip. I wonder if they charged me a bigger toll for not having this? don't know.
2. How to specifically dial when using a phone. What sequence to get what you want, should be easy to have a card with you to dial what you want from pay phone hotel ect. Maybe I'm just stupid.
3. Dress code to get into St Peters Cathedral. Women have to have your shoulders covered to see St Peters Cathedral in Rome and Men have to have their knees covered. Your alternative is to get some scrub one size fits all pants from a gift shop (can you say overpriced) 5 euros or maybe 10 I think. Women can buy a scarf to put around their shoulders.
4. The hours of the sistine chapel. Closed on Sundays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it would be open on the Sabbath at least! Didn't get a chance to see it, my biggest regret of the whole trip for it closes at noon I believe or 1 on saturday and not open on sunday.
5. The tipping at restaurants was confusing to me. In germany as i understand it the tip is included in your cost and you don't have to leave one. However in Italy you can't tip on the credit card, only cash and you should hand it directly to the server as it is a sign of being gracious for their service.
6. Make sure when you ask for a cab at Harms they don't call a LIMOSINE instead. That is what happened to us. 45 bucks from harms to airport marriott! It was a new S500, beautiful. We made small talk and asked the driver, "are all cabs this nice in germany?" He responded smiling and laughing, "oh no this isn't a cab, this is a limosine." That is when I knew I had to check my wallet for cash!!!!! The guy at harms, not sure if it was behrends (young dark haired, tall, slender) but he called a cab for us. Beware.

I had a cab and paid the same amount so you did not get ripped.
JSPIRA- as for what I wish I knew before hand, that I did not find in my research was the actual hours businesses/attractions remained open, and what the times for meals were. The phone stuff drove me a little nuts as well. Otherwise I think it was fairly simple.... I still think that BMW should arrange a better drop off point, nothing against Harms, they were great, but the location is lousy! The fiance' just said to me that the difficulty in finding an ATM/Bank when you needed it was a PITA! We stayed in 4/5 star hotels but the classification system there is much different than here, I knew that going into it but many may not. That is about it... this site was a great help, and continues to be; thanks to everyone! T- 19 months until next ED!!

Delivery trip? | one last thing the programmable address of harms in your navigation as I for the life of me couldn't get that programmed and caused us getting lost, which caused me to try and call, which caused me more frustration for I once again couldn't figure out how to dial.
Now I know what all those asians touring cali go through who don't speak the language.
