November 21 ED
Hello All, Just wanted to quickly post the ED center on Monday Nov 21. There was a decent amount of snow on the roads leading into the center 4-6" by 8:00 am with more on the way and continued snow throughout the week. | | Reply » November 21 ED | Quote: Hello All, Just wanted to quickly post the ED center on Monday Nov 21. I just looked at the weather, looks slightly warmer towards Salzburg with rain mostly, little snow, in case that helps.

After a long discussion with our ED guy Ernst (who was the greatest), I did not take delivery of the car I just could take the chance of destroying such a fine piece of driving machine. I arranged for Mr Brehrends at Harms to pick it up when the weathered cleared.
There were quite a few reasons why, most of all the forecast was for snow the entire week with the temp falling/staying below 0 degrees C. Ernst did make a call to his friend in Fussen, our first stop, and said that there was quite a bit of snow on the road and recommended against the attempt.
Also, Ernst and other ED sales people indicated that snow tires are required for insurance purposes even tough the law doesn't take effect until the first of the year. JUST FYI.
I walked away feeling that I had made the right choice at the time, but I am free-falling into a deep depression that I made never recover from....

That must have been a very painful decision. At least youŽll rest assured knowing that you wonŽt risk damaging the car. Use BŽfest as your support group. WeŽll be here when you need us. But enjoy your trip - sans auto. Germany is beautiful in the snow, and you can still do quite a bit. Are you still going to Fussen (by train)? If you are staying in Munich, IŽll be happy to make some suggestions for things to do.

We traveled the wonderful city of Munchen, visited many beautiful sites, met wonderful helpful and friendly people, and dined on wonderful cuisines. Words just can explain..
We are traveling home now due to health issues. My mental health and both my wife and I are asthmatics and did not realize the impact of cigarette smoke.
