Redelivery, cars off the boat, now what?

Been tracking my car from Munich, boat docked Friday and is headed back to Europe (I'm assuming my car has been dropped off). What are the steps until the car gets to the dealer and how can I track my shipment from this point to the dealer? I did some searching but couldnt find a specific answer to this question (step by step).

Oh, and about how long will it take? I'm hoping 2 weeks or less? I've been good up until this point, but I'm starting to get impatient

1. Customs
1a. Truck
2. VPC
2a. Truck
3. Dealer
3a. YOU!!

Customs can take a few weeks. If your car was damaged during shipment, VPC could take a couple of days. You could have your car in two weeks, you could have your car in a month. Only your dealer can track your car from this point.

if the boat that ur car was on has unloaded then u'll have to wait until it clears u.s customs. i'll assume ur in west coast? after it has cleared customs (the wait here is the longest) the vpc takes over at this point, they'll get it ready for dealer by removing euro stuff if u did ed and give u manuals. after it has been released by vpc, they'll assign ur car to a carrier to truck it to dealership, from here it's just a matter of them cleaning the car and installing dealer option. my car took 10 business days from boat docking to me picking it up at dealership. customs take the longest probably about 8-9 days for them to inspect the car and give it clearance. a lot of this depends on how many cars are ahead of urs. if ur close to the port like my dealership, it should take less than a day to truck it over. make sure u get in contact with ur ca at this point and ask them what stages ur car is going through. they have the exact answer at all times. bmw na no longer have access to tracking once it reaches port.

To clarify: the cars don't go to customs, they are (like all freight) pre-cleared before the ship hits port. From the ship, they go straight to the VPC, but effectively sit in a bonded warehouse area of the VPC awaiting customs clearance if that wasn't forthcoming.

Patience grasshopper. My car was at VPC three weeks before arriving before suddenly showing up at my dealer the day after I left on a two week business trip. Total time from drop off to dealer was around five weeks not counting my trip. It will seem longer.

Man!! And I'm getting despondent because it's been two weeks from arrival at port and still no car. Hopefully you had a short trip on the boat - mine was seven (!) at sea.
