 330xi Delivery today pictures

Hi All from the Renaissance Salzburg, got it for $59 on Priceline. It's a block from the train station and it's very nice. It's newly refurbished with a nice King bed and the largest bathroom that I've ever seen in a European hotel room. I got lost on the way to the hotel and had to go back to the Autobahn and start over. It turned out when I thought I had already gone too far past the location at that point I was like around the corner from the hotel. More ammunition for those that support getting the Nav. LMAO

Ok well the delivery went ok until I went to the car and looked at the badge. They had incorrectly badged it as a 325XI. At that point we're checking the chassis and everything to make sure that it really was my car. At this point, Herr Ernest is telling me that they can just re-badge it and there's no 325xi in the US. I'm looking all over for a sign that it really it was a 330 and not a 325. Checked the tires 17" Bridgestones, chrome tailpipe and finally found the metal manufacture plate and it clearly said 330xi. There happened to be another 330xi Arctic in the garage and I was comparing it to make sure that the car was correct.

So he drives it over to the workshop and tries to get it re-badged; however, they didn't have the 330xi badges in stock, so now I am driving a de-badged car courtesy of the factory. So I finally get into the car and there's no floor mats either. Apparently they're out of those too, so he marked both on my delivery sheet and told me to tell the dealer when I take re-delivery. Now I need to find some floor mats before I completely dirty the inside. I bought the emergency vest and that looks like it'll work well as a tempory floor mat.

Top-speed so far 105 mph for about a 30 secs. I was doing most about 140-150 km/hr on the A8 to Salzburg and was being blown away by little old Fiats and Fiestas.

The best feature so far is the new turn signals. I thought they were going to take awhile to get use to, but it turns out they're tailor-made for the Autobahn.

Ok well here's the pictures, sorry nothing of the interior yet as I totally forgot because I was still about the wrong badge and floor mats. However the car is fantastic.

As I learnt from Me530, you can download a handy widget to do this in 2 clicks. Here is a cut and paste of Me53īs post:

Download the XP image resizer- its very handy.

The actual exe file:

Once installed, when you view the picture in the windows viewer, a right mouse click will give new options, incl. resize

Calif: very nice color. Actually looks nice w/o the badge. It's got a cleaner look to the back.

You're de-badged 330xi will fit in with other 3 series in Europe now as everyone debadges there.

When the car gets to VDC, they can badge it like every BMW in America.

It would have freaked me out if I paid for a 330xi and they badged it a 325xi.

I wonder if you can keep the 325xi badge as a souvenir. It's an experience you won't forget.

I guess the resizer worked. Good.

I was told not to go over 4000 rpm, which meant going no more than 180 km/h which was fine by me. Today I got up to 240 km/h.

Car looks great. I guess the strobe didnīt like the white field on the export license plate.

The reason for the mat problem is that the tunnel is wider on the X. Herr Roller lent me a set of mats for the 330i - all I had to do is sign a few liability waivers (just kidding) because they donīt complete fit. But they were fine. The vest was a good idea too!
