Important - Licht am Tag starts Today in Österreich
Greetings from seat 3H on board LH 410 to New York. I´ll post again later but I wanted to make sure everyone sees this important bit of info.
Today is the first day in Austria of Licht am Tag, so make sure you have your lights on during the day when driving.

I have to be at a client meeting tomorrow night in Florida. I'd rather be in Berchtesgaden.

Details at http://www.diepresse.com/Artikel.asp...rt=w&id=519547 | Seems to me they are hopping on this DRL bandwagon, but making it law.... makes more sense to me in countries that have less daylight etc... The article also shows how it is also a tax idea for them to collect more money. Amazing how doing something so simple has some many consequences all around, more fuel consumption thus more emissions, more gas purchased, more taxes collected, lights burning out, more taxes collected etc....
Hope the US does not make that a law I will be real mad... I hate how the DRLs look and they do not seem to make any difference, in many studies.... Safe trip back!

I just helped the woman sitting next to me book concert tix for Carnegie Hall, and also called my parents on the phone via the computer.
Re DRL, I guess my thinking is more light is good, so it can't hurt. But it's also like the 3d brake light. When that was new, one noticed the cars with them more but now it's just a sea of red.
