The waiters at the 3'60° restaurant here in the InterContinental (which opened here in Berchtesgaden in March of this year) told me no one has ever ordered a Salzburger Nockerl before.
My waiter asked me if I am from the immediate area (close, but no cigar).

Egg whites and sugar. It is a souffle basically.
The sauces and sorbet that they brought were overkill.
This was a one-person portion, much smaller than the usual size which is usually .5 m dish.
It was pretty good but nowhere near how Mutti makes it or how it was 2 mos. ago at the Imperial in Vienna.
