 Today's Salzburger Nockerl Report

The waiters at the 3'60° restaurant here in the InterContinental (which opened here in Berchtesgaden in March of this year) told me no one has ever ordered a Salzburger Nockerl before.

My waiter asked me if I am from the immediate area (close, but no cigar).

So, donīt blame me if you dream of this tonight

Ok, I might have missed this before- what's it made of? I'm tempted to fly out standby just to have some for myself!

What does it comprise? Looks like a dessert?

Egg whites and sugar. It is a souffle basically.

The sauces and sorbet that they brought were overkill.

This was a one-person portion, much smaller than the usual size which is usually .5 m dish.

It was pretty good but nowhere near how Mutti makes it or how it was 2 mos. ago at the Imperial in Vienna.
