 Night Vision

I just came across some specs on the new BMW night-vision system that will be optional for iDrive cars. It is on another site which I will link to for the sole purpose of showing the new system. http://www.mwerks.com/artman/publish...icle_948.shtml Best of luck!

I think it would be a lot more useful if the display were incorporated into the HUD. I find the excuse that this isn't feasible for "ergonomic reasons" rather lame. I can't imagine having a dual image is any more distracting than having to take your eyes off the road....

Pulling your eyes that far off the road seems pretty ridiculous to me.

Then again iDrive is supposed to be "accessible by the passenger" so maybe they get to look at it and call out to you: "biker on the left!"
