 Roadside assistance in Europe (ED)

Anybody notice this regarding Roadside Assistance in Europe. Although you can do European Delivery and travel to many countries, the BMW Roadside Assistance service only lists the following countries that are covered:

Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, UK, and Ireland.

It states: "Roadside assistance will organize and pay for towing up to 154 euro to transport the immobilized vehicle to nearest BMW center."

(This information taken from sheet given to me at delivery center)

Correct - is there a problem? It's great that BMW can provide coverage in so many areas. The list has greatly expanded over the years.

No problem. I had a chance to read the literature today and thought it was interesting.

I'm finding more nuggets of information about ED even though I'm back in the states.

Also thought I would pass this a long for those heading to Poland, Czech, etc (countries not covered)

One thing to add. While BMW AG supports euro. delivery customers with RA, they do not support Assist.

I don't see Czech Republic in the list of countries. Is the Gerling insurance not valid there (boohhooo... I wanted to go to Prague)

Hey, this is an RA thread

The Gerling thread is somewhere else ... just joshing, but Gerling is valid in Praha, no worries.
