On 11/05 at dealership while making final payments for the car dealer insisted me to show proof of insurance as i am financing the car.
Do i need Auto Insurance on ED car while i am picking up the car ? Do i have to have any kind of Auto Insurance while i am picking up the car ?
Currently i don't have an auto insurance as i am having a old car that i don't drive and in state of New Hampshire you don't have to have an auto insurance.
Dealer sold me the Tire Insurance for $10 a month for 5 year and it is $600 and later on i realized that i am financing $600 @ 7.49%.
I want to know how much people paid for this insurance package or can i add this package while i come back from Europe and pick up the car from dealership.
ED Pick Up --- 11/24 ED Drop Off --- 11/28
Thanks for your help.

I financed through BMWFS and they asked me to write down on a form my current insurance. They asked for insurance for my current car only and that I would provide them proof of insurance upon redelivery.
When you pick up the car in Munich, it will include 14 days of insurance through Gerling Insurance (included).
I don't know about the tire insurance as I was not offered that. Considering what it costs to replace runflats on my 5 series, I would have considered the insurance.

You do not need to insure the BMW until redelivery. Don't get me started on those tire/wheel insurance plans....

I think it's more for the bank; so that, they know you'll insure their collateral.
Interesting Md, Concord BMW didn't offer me tire insurance either. They must not offer it or figure this is California and don't need it for the roads.

Calif: maybe b/c California has stringent requirements for companies offering insurance/warranty. I don't know.
When I do redelivery, I'll ask Mark and let you know of anything special.
