Back from ED - Write Up and Pics
Hi all: just got back from a 10 day ED trip to pick up my 330i - tit silver, black leather, manual, alum. trim, heat seats, sport pack. Car ImpressionsMy previous car was a 01 330i sport, my current car is a 01 M3. My expectations were a bit low for my 330 coming from an M3 and was really blown away by how the E90 exceeded my expectations. It doesnt have power of my //M, but it was more pleasant to spend time in as it has all the real world power you need, seats are way more comfortable, stereo is light years better, shifting is lighter, and was easier to get around with 4 doors. Although I'll miss the "wow" factor of my M3, I think I enjoy everything else about the E90 330 better. BMW ED ImpressionsI already knew about the program from researching on this site, but overall I would think BMW would put forward more effort to win over their loyal customers traveling thousands of miles to pick up a car. No ride to\from the center, 2 1\2 hour wait in the Bistro, no explanation about the car, bumped off the factory tour, and a mile walk in the freezing cold from Harms to the bus stop. I'm not complaining, but just a little shocked BMW doesnt take advantage of the opportunity to "wow" their customers while in Munich. I ran into a guy who picked up Mercedes - one complimentary night at their 5 star resort - that's what I'm talking about! Autobahn Driving Just amazing. Nothing like cruising at 110 mph in an environment where everybody knows how to drive. Seemed like some cars were going faster than 160 though. With 3 people + luggage the car didnt seem to like 120+ mph, so spent most of the time cruising 100 to 115. Not sure if it was the extra weight or the weather, but 115 isnt so bad It was cool to see so many BMW, Mercedes, and Audi while in Munich with sport packages! Also: 8 out of 10 cars were all debadged - I'm hooked, I'll be taking off my badging when the car gets back to the U.S. Overall an unbeatable experience. I've been to Europe a few times so that's nothing new, but I'm not sure how I'll be able to top this car buying experience ever again Write Up and Pics http://spaces.msn.com/members/michaelsylver/ | | Reply » Back from ED - Write Up and Pics | I should also mention - this car is BEAUTIFUL with the sports package
I'm not a huge Bangle fan but not sure why people are not liking the design....

Write Up and Pics http://spaces.msn.com/members/michaelsylver/ | Great write-up. Just FYI, in comparing BMW v. MB e.d. programs, until very recently, MB had discontinued even offering a discount. BMW historically offered more savings and less swag.
Also, fyi, Vienna sausage is not schnitzel (see Vienna Day 1/2/3). Sausage is wurst; schnitzel is cutlet - that way for your next visit, you'll be able to order what you want!

Also the ED center is very lame, though I loved the Tuna wrap .. But I know that this is a short term.. I hope I get to go to the new one
