Attn anyone with an inbound car:
I called the ED hotline today and the gentleman (who answered after 1/2 a ring) told me my car had arrived at the VPC this morning. Awesome! Not quite.
He seems to think there is a 325i software update campaign. He recalled that another car from yesterday got snagged for this - and that because there were so many cars it could take like 4 or 5 days. I hope I don't even need one since I don't have iDrive.
Can anyone substantiate / confirm this software update campaign?
He also said 2 week wait for a truck down to DC. I think these guys are trained to give you worst case so you chill the f*ck out for a few days and stop calling them.

Yea, the local dealership here told me there's a software update available for my car, but he doesn't know VPC will probably do it before I get the car. Anyway to get VPC to leave the update out?

My car is a September production car and arrived at the VPC on Friday and was on a truck and at the dealer the following Monday.

OK, I think I answered my own question.
http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/...p/B121905g.htm
According to this, chasis numbers PS64037 – PS64175 (last 7 of VIN) need the update. But my car is several numbres before this range (less than 10!)
So, maybe I'll get it this weekend. And crap my pants!
