I am planning a trip next june for a couple weeks, driving from munich, down to greece then over to italy and dropping it off somewhere around italy. I am wonder if there are any alternatives to purchasing additional days for insurance. I have heard that the extension of insurance from BMW is pretty expensive.

I am actually driving with a friend of mine who is going to need insurance for 6 months on his 330i that he is picking up at the same time. Does anyone konw an estimated cost thru bmw or and any other insurance companies have used.
This is for a 330i btw.
