 Size of ED Pool

Ok when people do a Google Search on swimming pool sizes, this will now pop-up. LOL

But anyways, this is an off-shoot of another thread and that other thread got me kind of curious about it.

Anyone have any ideas how large is the ED Pool besides the cars that people flake on? Does the ED Dept. have a certain number of cars allocated per model/month?

What happens if the pool cars are not used during the year, do they get shipped to dealers as allocation bonuses for high-volume dealers?

Sorry enquiring minds want to know.

Search this forum for figures, but BMW in recent years delivers about 2200 cars by ED. There's no allocation to ED, other than that imposed on individual dealers.

Thanks, yea I've seen that 2200 number in other posts but was just curious if the ED Dept actually get a few cars a month for short notice deals or late changes.

In mid September when we wanted an additional car, preferably a 325i, there were only 4 total in the pool for 9/15/05 delivery. None was acceptable, but there was a 330i close to what we desired. I have no idea of total number, but am correct on the four available 325i in Munich.
