I'll be going to Munich the week of Dec 11 - 18 for delivery on the 14th. (dates are still flexible on the trip, but delivery date is fixed).
I was wondering who had a good hotel experience as I'm taking recommendations for where to stay. My priorities as of now are:
1) Good Parking (the trip is about the car, right?!)
2) Good Location (convenient to the metro system)
3) Price
I understand that some hotels have parking decks under or near the hotel while others are just open lots. I'd rather park in a deck. Thanks for your feedback in advance!!
Picking up a 550i, sport pkg, nav system, SMG
Also... will I have 2 new holes in my front bumper from the tourist plates? Will I be scar free when I get the car home?

IMO, The Hilton on Rosenheimerplatz meets all these criteria (there's undeground parking tooo)

When I lived in Munich, I lived right behind this hotel and love the location.
But, ED experts like Beewang prefer hotels in Shwabing.

Thanks for the info about the Hilton on Rosenheimer Strasse. I checked it out and seems to be fully booked, even for just my delivery date and the day after (Dec 14-15). I'll keep an eye on that hotel for now though to make sure nothing comes available. Thanks again for the tip

I prefer the smaller hotels for a more local flavor.
Checkout Hotel Asam at about €160/nt
Pros:
- five minute walk from Marienplatz (and U-bahn)
- small hotel with attentive staff
- luxury appointments available (steam bath, heated floors, suites, etc.)
- nice rooms
- onsite garage parking available
Cons:
- one way streets make it hard to find for the first time
- garage parking is a bit *ahem* tight. Car elevator down two levels below ground and narrow spaces.
No personal experience (yet) but I've heard good things about Acanthus Hotel from several sources.
Apparant Pros:
- 5 minute walk from Marienplatz and U-bahn
- small hotel
- inexpensive ~€100/nt
- Garage Parking available

Try Meridien. I got a great deal on a room through Priceline. Will be there December 6-8.
