Picked up the M3 Friday morning Oct. 7.
Great start to trip. We were there when the delivery facility opened so got first in line.

I will put up more photos later, but a few are attached here.
First day down to Bertchesgaden, SW of Salzburg, then through western Austria, Innsbruck and on into Switzerland.

Went over the Furka pass -- an amazing road - all hairpin switchbacks. We must have climbed almost 5000 feet in possibly 3 miles laterally. The nav system said it was exactly 8000 feet at the top.

We stayed overnight at Nyon, and arriving at the hotel, found the parking lot FULL of Z8s. I think there were 19 or 20, there for a 3 day rally. When we made photos early the next morning a few had left, but there were still 14. They all left together - Pretty interesting sound!

What are the chances that picking up a new BMW we would unknowingly pick a hotel with 20 Z8s together?

Beautiful photos. It looks like you came across to a Z8 meet.

Great Pics! That wheel currently on the M3's is one of BMW's best, IMO.

Looking good. That's really cool about the Z8's!
