Hi all, How far is the drive from Munich Dropoff (E.H. Harms GmbH & Co.) to Marienplatz area? Or is there a Train station near this dropoff location?
Another question: How much snow is expected in early December in Munich?

THX | You should do a search of this forum, but you can take a bus from about half a mile or so from HARMS to the metro. I think someone posted a photo tour of the directions. It's a pretty long ride back into town, and the bus only runs every 20 or 30 min, but it's much cheaper than a taxi.
Cheers.

is the thread derGolfspieler mentioned.
The directions will take you to the Garching-Hochbrueck Subway-Terminus (U 6). All trains will take you directly to Marienplatz.

Our hotel was the Bayerischer Hof, which is near Marienplatz and it took less than 25 minutes driving back from Harms in traffic to the hotel. Fred

Driving time is about as variable ;-) Quote: | Originally Posted by tchan3368 Or is there a Train station near this dropoff location? | Not really close enough to walk to. It will certainly be cold. Attached are pictures of Marienplatz from December 1981. Enjoy the Christkindlmarkt am Marienplatz!

If you don't mind the walk, you can get to the train station in about 20 minutes, take a left at the main road after leaving the Harms office and the train station is on the right side of the street. There you can catch the S-Bahn.
We walked to the main road, ~5 minutes, caught a taxi at the corner and rode about 5 minutes to train station.
