 10+ Weeks

Ok, I have had it. I dropped my car off July 24th in Amsterdam. I thought by dropping it off there it would be closer to port. Nope. The car waited for 3 weeks, way too long. Then the ship arrived in PH, cleared VPC and has been sitting there for a week waiting for a truck. It has been over 10 weeks and my car is still in PH. This is frustrating. I think people ought to know that with ED , especially, the west coast, you will wait a long time. I am making my 4th or 5th payment already and I had the car for 12 days in europe. I have been given bad info by my dealer twice and they have offered nothing in return and I doubt they would anyways. I am sure there are worse stories, but it sucks waiting for your car and one should take this into consideration. I have had 1274 questions..."when is your car getting here?", my answer, one never knows until it shows up. ED is great, but be prepared to wait.

Unfortunately, proximity to the port doesn´t mean trucks fill up and go there. Munich has trucks almost every day because so many cars are dropped off there.

10 weeks is too much though - we share your pain.

WOW - that really sucks. Surely you are now on the very last leg of your wait. I hope my redelivery doesn't turn into this kind of nightmare. I dropped off in Munich on the 17th, and it was on a truck to port on the 19th. It just left Southampton England today and is due to arrive in States on the 12th. Seems like mine is taking a pretty typical length of time so far.

Hope you get your car soon - Good Luck!

I'm dropping in Frankfurt - anyone got any experience with time to Port from there?

Probably the 2nd best location to drop off at. I dropped off back in 2000. Nov 13, pick up in Los Angeles, Jan 2.

I drop off on Nov 26, back in te US of A for about 3 weeks then off to Aust and NZ for 4 weeks - Arrive back on 16th JAn - with luck my car will be back and I will have cheated the waiting game with my trip to Aust and New Zealand.
