 Itinerary question Nov 10 ED

Hi,

I am almost confirmed for Nov 10 delivery (330i). Due to work constraints I have only 4-5 days in europe. I and my wife is thinking of visiting around munich and then go to zurich/geneva and be back. Do you have any recommendation, specially for this time of year. Should I expect snow/ice while driving to switzerland?

Also could you comment if flying back to USA from zurich would be much more expensive than, flying back from munich itself.. Should I fly back to munich instead, and catch flight back home from there?

thanks in advance

Open jaw round trips should be the same price as a regular round trip if you use the same airline. My trip was Houston-Munich and Nice-Houston and paid no upcharge.

Thanks ldv330i for your response. Which airline did you take. Did you get ticket through bmw-lufthansa program or on internet like orbitz/expedia etc??

I'd advise checking the weather forecast and making plans based on that, but in broad stroke you shouldn't have a snow/ice/weather issue.

My next E.D. is also on the 10th, as are several others here.

If you fly back from Munich - and drop off the car in Munich - it will probably get to back to you much faster by the way.

When I did ED the Lufthansa program did not exist. I bought my ticket on Continental/KLM through a local travel agency though I had done my research on Travelocity. You can do the same to get quotes on line, just select the multi-city option.

Wow you missed the United/Lufthansa sale last week.

SFO-ORD-MUC
ZRH-IAD-SFO $580.00

Also SFO-MUC
ZRH-FRA-SFO on a Lufthansa codeshare flight.

I am returning from Zurich, but using United miles.
