My buddy dropped off his 525i in Munich, but has no idea when
the car will hit Por Hueneme, CA. BMW does not know and
Harms does not know. All he knows is his VIN and 6 weeks
from dropoff.
Anyone have any insight on how to find the ship that is carrying
his car or to track it?

Jeff | Harms has to know!!!! How long ago did he drop off the car? Harms can tell him what boat he is on, and then you can check the shipping schedules on the internet to figure out when the car will get to port.

Harms got the car on Sept 27th and sent it to port the same day.
They said that is all they know...

He'll get something from BMWED soon that details his ship and est. date of arrival at Port. I dropped off in Cologne on Sept. 12 and got a letter 3 weeks later saying that it would be at Hueneme on Oct. 16.
Check the Owners Circle for an account of the voyage to dealership as well.

I checked my owners circle, and I cannot find anything on the status of my car after i dropped it off in Paris

I got your PM, but unfortunatley, it appears that Harms do NOT know the name of the ship  Tell your friend to just relax, as the car is being transported without a doubt. In a few weeks (2 ~4 weeks) he will receive a letter telling him the name of the ship.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful... but the car is on its way...
