 ED Order timing question

My dealer told me today that he cannot place my ED order now as I will end up with a car 90 days from now. He told me we have to wait until 90 days before the delivery to place the order which means late December. I think he is mistaken. If you agree what would you suggest I do to get the order in?

They should be able to put this in the appropriate manufacturing slot regardless and do all the paperwork. Sounds like an inexperienced E.D. dealer. Try another dealer in Dayton?

You should tell him that he's wrong, and that you're production will be keyed to your pick-up date. Of course, if he insists on doing it his way, negotiate a price now, and let him wait.

In fact, I might just cut a deal, and tell him to check with teh ED department to confirm your delivery date so you can make plans. He'll find out he's wrong.

NOT true you can order any time Tell them when you want to pick up. BMW will build car one moth before pickup date in Munich. I suggest you deal with a BMW dealer that does ED everyday. Or u can and will have many heartaches during the process. If you are using BMWFS for your money the loan approval is good for only 60 days however. Look around here and find a BMW dealer that does ED everyday it will be worth gold.

I might consider another dealer who is familiar with ED. I would think if he's telling you this, then he also isn't going to have the most agressive price either.

Know how much you are going to pay and when you want to pick it up and then go to the dealer. You can order your car more than 90 days in advance. If he does not want to order your car, then they lost your sale.
