 Dropoff to Delivery?

Hi folks. I am curious as to how long a delay others have had from the time they drop off their car in Munich or elsewhere in Europe until delivery to the local dealer. I am expecting at least 4 weeks and would appreciate hearing from some of you that have done this recently. Thanks, E90 delivery date in Munich Oct 28, dropoff Nov 3. Will I see her again in early December in Maryland?

I'm in Maryland too. I dropped mine off in Munich last Wednesday. I just checked and it looks like it's getting on a ship going out tomorrow. The guy at EHHarms (drop off in Munich) told me to expect 4 - 6 weeks. I think when you get it depends on many factors and it varies quite a bit from person to person. But East coast seems to average within the 4-6 week range from what I've read from others here. I'll be sure to let everyone know when mine arrives and how long it took. I'm 'hoping' for early November, but nothing I can do to rush it.

A lot depends on where you drop it off, Munich has the most cars go through it so there are more trucks heading to the docks regularly. Other factors include ship schedules, what boat you get on... some do less ports and are faster. Weather, VPC load and of course US customs and Agriculture. If there is damaged incurred during shipment or driving in europe they fix it at the VPC and this adds time depending on the wait for the shop. Trucking to the delear is pretty standard, just depends on the dealer/area and amount of cars heading that way. So 4 weeks is very optimistic, 6 weeks more realistic. These are East coast times, left coast add some more boat time. Best of luck!

Here is my time frame:
Drop off at E.H Harms Munich 9/6
Shipped from Bremmerhaven 9/13 ON HONOR (missed the previous boat)
Arrived port NEAT in NY on 9/30 (upon arrival car must clear customs/agriculture)
Car @ VPC on 10/5
Still waiting for re-delivery 10/10 my dealer is in lower NY. So 5 weeks thus far and I did not get the super slow boat!

Are you dropping it off at the port? If not, I'm not sure how it will get on a ship over the weekend. I would bet that the shipyards are not loading and unloading on the weekend anyway.

If you are dropping off in Munich, your car will - within a few days of drop off at the most - be trucked to the port. Then it will wait a few days and go on a ship.

Yep, it takes 7-10 days to book a passage. Its not like if there's ship leaving tomorrow, that they can get your car in right away.
