Chance of BMW's use of full hybrid system

I see that the GMC Yukon with a full-hybrid system (one that can independently use its electric motors for power as opposed to just supplementing the gas engine while it operates) will be on display at this weeks NYC autoshow and go on sale later this year.

This system appears to be the first live market, hybrid system application born of the development agreement between Daimler, GM and BMW but I've seen no word of DC or BMW using the technology within their own brands. Does anyone know of plans by the Germans to put this technology to work in their own high-line brands? (not Dogge or Mini)Or will they use this simply as a revenue opportunity to sell or license out the technology?

I realize and applaud BMW for its pursuit of hydrogen and diesel but would also like have this option as well.

later.

I'd take one of their diesels over a hybrid any day. The 118d I drove averaged about 45 mpg over a week's worth of use (a mix of urban and autobahn, and I made ample use of the derestricted zones - driving at a more conservative 130-140 km/h instead of taking it to 180+ frequently probably would've upped that average well into the 50 mpg range) and reached a top speed of 220 km/h (135 mph - indicated). That's a much better combination of power and fuel economy than any Prius - nevermind the fact that diesel technology is old and solidly proven; likely to be very reliable and easy to work on.
