 ED Insurance Questions...

On my trip I got a few scratches on the rims.
1) What did you tell the insurance lady in order for them to fix the scratches?

2)I also noticed a few light scratches on the windshield. Can they fix that without changing the windshield?

What can I say to the insurance to make sure that VPC fixes the car before I get it and for them to look underneath it for any damage? I've read on bimmerfest that some customers have gotten their cars without them being fixed.

Either way you must file a claim with Gerling and the damage must be noted on the damage report from Harms. You can fax this information, including the Yellow and Green sheets in your ED insurance registration folder to Gerling. You can email Mr. Linsmeier at Gerling Insurance Muncih @ georg.linsmeier@gerling.de The phone number and fax numbers are located on the top of the yellow insurance paper.... (I can't locate it at the moment). The car can be fixed at the VPC or even at the dealer and Gerling picks up the tab. If the damage was not noted by Harms...... the VPC may or may not pick it up, and it may come under the marine/transport insurance through Gerling ( I believe) which is a little different, for this you may need to call the ED office of BMW NA. I hope this helps you! Just remember they need a copy of the damage report and the insurance forms to give you a claim number then it will be taken care of! Best of Luck. I would give you the information for Kerry Lynn Shaw at BMW NA ED but she will be in Germany for the next week or so; so that will not be of much help to you.
