When I picked up our two new cars last week (same addresses), I ran into no problems. Although delivery center & Harms said it was unusual, no one seemed to care. Savings were wonderful because I did not have to purchase another set of plane tickets or incur any further hotel cost. |

We did 4 at once- two 645cic's and two 530i's, but like you, no one seemed to care, and we only had one guy delivering the 645's and one guy delivering the 530's. I'm glad it worked out for you!

I understand that one the persons signing the ED contract must be present. But what if I am picking up a car for myself and another for somebody else? Assuming that for the 2nd car I am one of the persons on the contract, is is possible (or does dealer even care) to title the 2nd car in another's name upon redelivery? Can this be done? At what point is DMV informed of who's on title?

Only the person who is on the ED forms sent to Germany may pick up the car. It may be registered differently once in the USA! 1) One person cannot pick-up 2 cars. See the next rule. 2) One car per household per six month. Exemptions are reviewed on a case by case basis. 3) BMW NA ED reserves the right to refuse ED sales if one were thought to be taking advantage of the program for personal gain.(i.e. Dealer trying to work around the system and get a bunch cars that is tightly allocated and subtential discount).
These rules are established by BMW NA ED office. The dealer, BMW AG and Employees at Freimann Delivery center could care less.
Hope this helps,
