Where to go?
Were presently planning our first ED trip. We're going to take delivery of an X3 sometime in the spring, most likely in late May or early June.
We're starting to make a list of places to visit, and I want tap the wealth of ED experience here to identify any "must see" areas. I don't want to end up hitting a tourist trap and later find that there was a real gem we missed next door.
The only fixed items on our itinerary are a visit to freinds in Lausanne in western Switzerland, and in the Mosel valley in Rhineland-Phalz.
Our plan is to limit our visit to central-southern Germany and Switzerland, based on our two "fixed" items, but may be able to be lured elsewhere.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. | Have you searched through the forum? In the past month, I personally have probably posted a dozen suggested itineraries for people, as have others.

I personally like spending time in the German Alps, more amazing scenery, great places to eat and drink, and every little town buried in one of those valleys turns out to have a lot of character.

Can't recommend CH as highly.
