My First ED and an Apology
I am leaving for Munich in 4 days and picking up my first ED - and first BMW - in 6 days. Apology part - I needed some advice from you veterans, but couldn't figure out how to start a new thread. Sooo, I put my whole story (along with a countdown) on the "Official going to Munich" thread. Guess it was too long, and probably didn't belong there anyway. I would appreciate opinions about whether I should stay at the Marriott in Freising if I am planning to take some day trips with my new baby over the weekend before returning car to Munich on Monday - or should I stay by the Hauptbahnhof (Kings Center First Class). If I decide to take a couple of day trips by car, instead of using the U-bahn for city sightseeing will I be sorry to have to deal with traffic/congestion by staying in the city? Thanks BTW I am so excited that I can hardly breath! | | Reply » My First ED and an Apology | Quote: I am leaving for Munich in 4 days and picking up my first ED - and first BMW - in 6 days. Stay in Munich and do all your local Munich sightseeing via public transportation. It will be easier and more fun, you won't have to worry about driving into the city and figuring out where to park or having to pay to park etc. etc. 2. I really enjoyed my stay at Kings hotel. They have parking, so you can just leave your car there while you are doing stuff in Munich, and you can easily hop into it and drive someplace when you get the urge to leave the city. If you avoid rush hour, its not bad to get in and out of Munich by car. Good luck! Remember, we need writeups and photos no later than 12 hours after your pickup

Since I was in Munich many, many years ago, I think that there is a good chance that we will end up skipping the city sights. I was afraid that I would regret having to get in and out of the city with the car. Thanks for the insight. Quote: Originally Posted by Me530 Good luck! Since I have no clue how to do that while in Munich, I guess that I will just have to change my flights and come home right after pick-up. As the kids would say "NOT"!. I'll do my best, however, to chronicle my trip and post when I return. Thanks.
