It depends on what you mean by "ED friendly." I've just ordered my first BMW (a 330i) for ED in July. I had to call every dealer in MA and NH to find one -- just one -- that would negotiate from ED invoice for the car.

The rest all used what I think is the most dishonest logic possible wrt to ED: "you're getting a discount, so we'll just take that off US MSRP." I am certain it works for lots of people, but not for me.

Also, I was repulsed by the dealers' attitudes that assumed there was no room to negotiate, that ED was less profitable (how can that be when they don't even have to take the inventory? The car is pre-sold when they enter the order), that you need six months, no make that six weeks, no really three months runway for an ED order. Or that you can't get iDrive on the 3 if you ED.

My favorite was from the "employee owned" dealer nearest me who "assumed" I was going to buy the car from them because "when the car costs the same everywhere" that's what you should do. (Of course the car doesn't cost the same everywhere.) This guy actually shouted at me that I didn't get it. My most "confused dealer award" goes to the other "new BMW center" in Metro West that assured me they'd call me with a price after giving my wife a test drive. I went back a week later to check the colors (I ordered silver), the guy came out, introduced himself and when I called him by name, remembered me.

I asked, "Why didn't you call?" He said, "I was too busy. But I'd be happy to sell you ED at US MSRP minus the ED discount." I said, "Sorry, it's too late."

So, "ED friendly" at a Boston-area BMW "center" doesn't mean much. In fact, I am amused by the doubleplusgood language BMW uses for its dealerships: "BMW Centers." "Client Advisors." The nice showrooms and logo clothes these folks wear simply mask the same tactics and deceptions you get in a high-pressure Chevy dealer. I actually prefer that since at least in the Chevy dealer, you know the guy's polyester matches his business practices.

I got the same thing about you are already getting a discount with ED when I went to BMW Gallery in Norwood. I wanted to get the 330xi with premium/cold/sport w/ metallic paint and Comfort Access. He quoted me the 330i's ED MSRP which came out to $41500 or something, then he said the xi would be $2000 more. Later he went to his manager and said that they were willing to go down $1000 from the ED MSRP. However this is still about $3k more than the invoice ED price. Is it possible to get the $1000 to $1500 above ED invoice pricing in Boston area?
Where did you order your 330i?

If you don't mind going a little further out you can try Dave McGovern of BMW of North Haven in Conn. He offered my $XXXX over ED invoice without hesitation. He will probably go lower.
I ended up purchasing from Joern Esser of PASSPORT BMW in Maryland (I live in NY). As far as I'm concerned, he is the best ED salesman on the East Coast. He can arrange to have your car dropped off at a local dealer. You can wrap up a deal in 10 minutes over the phone.
301-702-6407. He beat the above price by a substantial amount. Mention my name to either
of the two.

Have you tried Wagner BMW of Shrewsbury?
Tom Quinn gave me a reasonable deal.

i spoke with someone at bmw of shrewsbury on behalf of my brother. it was a causual call. i got the salesmen to give something off in addition to the ed discount. it wasnt the 1500 over invoice everyone talks about, but it wasnt bad. i think if you pushed harder you could get a better deal. i dont that anyone can match the 1500 over in boston though..my two cents.
