How do you tell where your vehicle is?

Dropped my wife's car on the 19th and mine on the 21st at Harms in Vienna. Hers was still there on the 21st. How do I know when the cars are moving and where they are prior to boarding the ship? Then, how do you determine which ship is the carrier?

In a few weeks, your dealer will get a copy of a letter BMW NA sends you that will tell you what boat you are on, so your dealer can call you with that information. You can try to contact the dropoff location, they should be able to tell you when the cars will get to the port.

I never got a letter. I followed up with Harms about the key that I mailed and he told me when it was delievered to the port. I then looked up on the WW Shipping Lines website what ships were going from Germany to the USA and did a VIN Search to find which ship I was on and when it was arriving.

It took my redelivery about a week to finally show up in the Wallenius Wilhelmsen tracking info, I emailed Harms and never was replied to. Hope this info helps you out!

BMW uses different shipping companies for east and west coast. For west coast, BMW uses NYKLine for shipping, however, NYKLine does not have the updated schedule on the web like Wallenius Wilhelmsen (east coast deliveries) has.

Wallenius Wilhelmsen (east coast deliveries)

N Y K line (West coast deliveries)

Shipping schedule from Bremerhaven (use Port Hueneme for the EXPORT) http://www.dbh.de/index.php?id=151&L=0

San Diego Marine Information Systems. <--- use this one to get the arrival schedule for Port Hueneme (west coast delivery)

Ship Locations on a global map. If you know the name of your ship, you can search for it (this site is a little slow, be patient)
