The bird is in its nest

So I tracked my truck down and got to know that it had reached the dealership at 10:30am - I take off during my lunch hour since I wanted to take a look at the car - though I didn't expect the dealer to hand it over to me today itself. So I get there, and I am made to sign the DMV papers etc. I notice a scratch on the trailer plug, and also the side skirt kinda coming out - so I point it out to the dealer and request a check since my underbelly touched the ground at one point in europe. The driver side seat had black stains, and the driver door also had shoe marks (getting in and out of the car) - the dealer agrees to clean the car and get it washed as well.

We (dealer and me) go to the service dept and we are told that check is going to cost $73 - I agree, and was told that car is available for pickup in the evening.

In the evening, the service person tells that in the check they found that heat shield for the muffler has a dent - and have asked for an estimate of that. The dealer has given me a form that I need to fill out for filing claim with Gerling (he has given me the impression that he is out of this now) - the two items right now are scratch and bent something...

Went out for dinner with Half moon bay with my SO - and I still love the car (glad they didn't toss it in the ocean : )

Tried linking my Razr, but no luck. I go to communications and it says 'activate phone'. In my phone I go to 'Settings - Connection - Bluetooth - Setup - Find Me'. But car screen never changes and even in the phone if I go to 'Settings - Connection - Bluetooth - handsfree - available links', I see no devices found. Anyone had similar problems with the Motorola V3 razr?? I checked the bmw website and that has the razr as a compatible phone.

Also tried linking the garage door opener, but that didn't work either.

After dinner, when I was getting out of the car - I was hearing a humming sound coming from the Nav screen - is that common, I didn't hear anything while in europe, but might not have paid attention.

I love my color - Arctic is the best. The car is so cool. I found funny how people look at the car, and when you look at them - they start looking elsewhere [as if - i wasn't looking, seriously...]- Its so funny. I used to drive a Jetta before this, and the attitude of people on the roads is so different when u are in a bmw. The confused looks on peoples faces looking at the ED plates is .......... like oooh.. nice car with cool euro plates.

You are so full of it. Get over it. It is just a car, yeah just a frigging car.

For me she is so much more than just a car. She listens to me - tells me how to get places...

The directions are not in one place and are not as clear as they could be, but you should be able to link if you have both sets of instructions. Plan on spending about an hour. First read and understand both sets of instructions - car (ULF below) and phone. Then work with them in the car. It should take less than an hour, but if you allow that much time, your knowledge will be fresh. The key thing you may need is the BMW Universal Bluetooth Hands-Free System (ULF) Owner's Manual. I did not receive this and had to download it from somewhere. Of course you will also need the pairing number that you should have received from your dealer.

There may be a good link containing step-by-step instructions in here somewhere, but I think the key to success for this project is that you need to be confident that it can be done. I found my car to be a bit reluctant to pair for a few times and even now after it is setup it does not always link up right away. Good luck.
