On a personal note: I stayed at all of these hotels on my trip 2 weeks ago. The Parkhotel in Hall was great! It is about a 8 minute drive from Salzburg (which I was not impressed by... my least favorite place I visited) The views from the hotel were amazing; the staff was great and the parking and breakfast is included; I booked through Venere. The Salzburg Renaissance was a recently updated hotel which was very nice, breakfast I passed on, picked up some pasteries in the town, and parking was extra, would have been nice to be closer to the old town but I could not find anywhere else that had secure parking in my search. The Intercontinental in Vienna claims to be 5 star, but in reality it is more like 3 star, breakfast and parking extra, once again I passed on breakfast. The latter 2 I booked through Priceline and saved a great deal of money doing so, so they were fairly cheap and great. I highly recommend using www.tripadvisor.com as well it is a great site with a lot of info and price comparisons. EDIT: I stayed at the Munich Airport Marriott prior to drop off, good clean place to crash/park on the lastnight but not really near much as far as Munich goes; the town it is in is nice though. Pricelined that as well for very cheap, had nice enclosed parking. Just as a note all bids in Priceline are in US, so if you get a room for $50 that is more like 40 euro etc..... works out nice!

We are staying at the Burg Hotel in Rothenburg next week. It is located within the walls of the city and has indoor parking for an additional fee (less than 10 Euros/day).

We stayed at Hotel Sonnhof, in Innsbruck. It's in the Nav system. We were with some friends more on a budget that evening, but it turned out to be quite nice while being not expensive. I enjoyed the breakfast and the nav will take you right there. Plenty of outdoor parking in an clearly safe area. See my ED web below for more pics.

I stayed here in Rothenburg o.d.T. (back in 2002). It was an excellent hotel with friendly hosts and great food all around. I highly recommend it.
