What is the record for the longest ED redelivery time?

I dropped my car off in Amsterdam on June 27, 2005 and I still have not got my car. It has been in New Jersey since July 21. Is 11 week or almost 3 months a record or is it close to normal"?

No, itīs not normal. Was there damage? If you are in the Northeast, it should be 4-5 weeks, 6 max.

What does the dealer say?

My car was stuck in the port of new jersey for 3 weeks, my dealer said it was stuck in customs without any damage. Overall my re-delivery to Atlanta was 7 weeks, but your wait time is not acceptable. I think you should call BMW and complain, maybe they'll do something to make it right.

Mine had damage to the hood, rear bumper, and both driver's side doors. They took an extra 3 or 4 weeks, but I was still around two months total.

If I were you, I would look into some sort of compensation from BMW for the extra paymetns you are making while your car is delayed. At a minimum, you may want to get a courtesy loaner, which I know has been done in the past. As for me, I turned in my last lease with pretty bald tires, and was going to be charged for them. They waived that fee, due to the delay in redelivery, plus they let me keep my old leased car for an extra 2.5 weeks for free.

Good luck!
