I was in the e90 board and saw a few posts that the dealer asks for money to activate the alarm since it is a dealer option. When you got your car, did u get charged for activating the alarm - does the clown nose under the rear view mirror blink when locked?? tksung/marcus/eimSD....... u'r experiences?

Did you pay for it as an option?

Did you pay for it as an option? | I beleive the alarm comes standard with the car - when I picked up the car, the delivery person said that the alarm is not activated within Europe and the dealer will activate that upon delivery in US. There is that red blinky thing under the rear view mirror - that didn't blink in europe and I am assuming that dealer needs to do something for it to start blinking.
