Dropped my car off for the E39 coil recall this morning and decided to spring for an extra oil change outside of the BMW maint. program (it's been about 8000 miles and i'm only halfway to my next service on the bars). The dealer (South Bay) is charging nearly $120. While outrageous, I didnt have time to debate it. I did recall that Center BMW in Sherman Oaks only charges $69 or so for an oil change.
Notwithstanding the fact that I should go to an indy or do it myself, just wondering, what does your dealer charge for an oil service/filter change?

Quote: Thanks, that sounds about right. I knew I was getting taken for $50.

FWIW, I think McKenna also charges about $120 for an oil change. If you buy 7 quarts of oil plus the filter from the dealer, doesn't it come to about $60 or so?
