  Delays at Port Hueneme VPC????

 Delays at Port Hueneme VPC????

My car arrived on Marina Ace six days ago on September 9th. My dealer says that they are very backed up, and my car hasn't even been "checked in" to the VPC yet. He said not to expect my car until the middle of next week at the earliest. (Incidentally, my dealer is in Calabasas, less than an hour from the VPC). Two weeks from the ship unloading until delivery seems like a very long time.

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Maybe they lost the key to your car as well

HEY HEY HEY. It's just around the corner. I have not been following the VDC timing lately, but when things were moving fast back in June, I received my car in OR ten days after the ship arrived in PH. The big delay then was the carrier, which sat on the car for about a week before putting it on a truck. My recollection from back then is that the cars were arriving at SoCal dealers about a week after hitting Pt H. The CA's can be a little squirrely in getting the straight scoop on when the car hits the VDC, when VDC releases to the carrier, and when the car is actually on the truck. Because of the odd nature of your acquisition - not really ED and not really outright purchase - it is hard to predict what priority it will have. My guess is that there is a 90% chance that you will have it by the 23rd. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks John. I was told that my car was classified as ED; but who knows. I'll let you know how your 90% prediction turns out.

You must mean VPC, esp. since it's around the corner from you.

A week is about as fast as it gets there. Mine took 1 week exactly to the same dealer. So, one little hiccup and you are at two weeks. That's not extreem at all. Over two weeks would seem excessive.
