downsides of Euro Delivery?
Euro delivery can be all pros & no cons can it? What are the cons to doing a Euro Delivery? My thought would be when you take Euro Delivery, is the car yours no matte what? What you inspect the car & you dont want it because something is wrong (a scratch, ding, squeaks, etc... ) If you take delivery in the US, you can tell the dealer that the car is unacceptable & walk away from the deal right? My E46 had a scratch on it, but I still took it home. | | Reply » downsides of Euro Delivery? | The wait, that's about it. All the things you mention are non issues (what is the normal warrantee and ED insurance for?). The extra wait amounts to about 2 months compared to custom ordering a car, or 4 months compared to dropping by the dealer and driving a car home.

For example if it is not the car you precisely ordered or if there is a defect etc. (this is rare since they are pampered and the ordering is done in a methodical way that must be examined by the purchaser enough times to verify an incorrect order.) You may get a loaner. The dowinside as I view it is the redelivery process, it is torture and takes a good deal of time and you start missing the car! And for some people the flight and all the toubles of making arrangements etc, which did not bother me. Aside from that nothing I can think of; it was one of, if not the greatest experience I have had. Good luck!
| | Reply » downsides of Euro Delivery? | The downside to ED is that once you do it once, then you get hooked on it and want to do it more often than the lease term length. All jokes aside. These people have their s*** together and rarely make mistakes. If you find any damage then you document it and I am sure the car will be fixed once you get it back. The wait may be a downside to it but that is about it.
