I hope to use Starwood points to snag a room for the first couple of nights in Munich. We will be arriving early in the morning on our flight from DC and would like a hotel that is convenient to the airport and delivery center so we can head to the hotel from the airport, take a quick nap and shower and then head to the delivery center that afternoon. We would then stay in Munich that night before heading out for the rest of our trip. There are several Sheratons and Four Points Hotels in the Munich area, but so far I'm having a hard time sorting out what is near the airport and delivery center and which ones might be decent places to stay. Any advice is much appreciated.

Google Earth.... (http://earth.google.com) It is a great program that has the ability to overlay roadmaps and city names. I am not sure how up-to-date the hotel listings are, but you can compare city distances. I had a hard time with the street name listings.
The Delivery Center is in Freimann, Germany
EH Harms is in Garching, Germany

I stayed at Arabella Grand Sheraton back in March. About a 15 minute cab ride. 45 USD w/ starwood points.

If you want a cheap place (low points) I think there is a Sheraton 4 points next to the BMW headquarters. I am not sure where the delivery center is.

John | The Grand Sheraton and Sheraton Bogenhausen (which are next to each other) are in Bogenhausen, at least 15-20 min. away by taxi from delivery center. Closer is the Four Points, at Helene-Mayer-Ring 12 in the Olympiapark (prob. 10 minutes to Freimann without traffic max). I believe Four Points is the less expensive Sheraton, but it´s a much better location in my opinion. And you´d be right across from the BMW tower.
