Can I leave extra luggage in the trunk when I drop off at Harms?

Hi,

Is it okay to leave extra baggage in the trunk when I drop off a vehicle at Harms? Ideally I'd like to bring only a rollaboard bag for the flight. Any extra stuff I buy in Europe (touristy gifts for friends, etc) would be nice to safely stow in the car.

Sorry if this is answered in the ED info packet...I am hoping to do ED in December but haven't received an info packet or anything yet...

Thanks for any info!

That would be nice, but if you do, you should assume anything nice will likely disappear.

If you read printed material, every thing must be out of the the car. This includes the first aid kit and the warning triangle and all personal effects!

Speaking of printed materials, I left a complete set of German BMW brochures and price lists in an envelope marked to the attention of my dealer. That got through without a hitch.

When I was doing my papers at Harms, he told me to leave $1,000,000 in the car so they won't have to work anymore.

Not a good idea. On my first E.D., after completing my studies at Ludwig Maximilians Universität München, I left my books (a lot of them) in the trunk and they came through fine. But that was also a while ago and today BMW advises to leave the car empty.
