 ED questions

Hello all,

Ive been lurking for a bit, reading up but I still have a question. I've read that vehicles ordered through ED are not part of a dealer's yearly alotted number. Is there anywhere I can get this in writing so that when I approach the CA he doesn't try to make me think I am confused. Apparently the idea that throwing in "free" floor mats on an ED is supposed to make me not want to negotiate off of the ED msrp.

Also correct me if I am wrong

but this is what my offer will be

ED invoice
options invoice
shipping
dearler profit
dealer fee (if they refuse to budge)

then
tax, title

I am in the South Florida region and I havent been too impressed the best Ive seen is 1k under Domestic MSRP...any one have any good references for CA's that will deal?

Thanks, I appreciate your input.

I used Kathy Kellog @ Laurel BMW, Westmont IL. I live in VA and will have a courtesy delivery.

You should get 7% off sticker (exclude delivery, it isn't discounted) and a MINIMUM of $1000 off that price. Dealership does NOT receive hold back on ED.

Generally speaking, the 3, 5, and 7 don't come out of dealer allocation when doing ED. The 6 series and M series DO come out of allocation, so you won't get nearly as good of a discount on these cars. For non-allocation cars, you should shoot for a price of $1000-1500 over invoice, and more power to you if you can do better.

Thank you both

Try the ask a dealer forum here. I´m sure participants there, which include board sponsors, would be able to give you pricing and arrange a courtesy delivery.

I didn't have any luck with two local dealers in Broward so I requested help here and I was directed to Adrian Avila @ NalleyBMW in Decatur, GA and was very pleased with the deal and service I received from him. Many here have used him, even people from Florida. Try him and see, he is a sponsor here.
