 Performance Center Delivery

After doing an ED can one also do a Performance Center Delivery? Also, does it cost anything - we'll drive the car away.

My wife's family lives a few miles down the road and our local dealer (who have sold me two ED BMWs in the past) is moving the price on me. I was willing to pay more over invoice than I ever have before, was about the whip out the credit card for a deposit then a $400 'doc fee' suddenly appeared. Presumably I can buy a ED car from any dealer in the US and do Performance Center Delivery?

You CANNOT take ED redelivery in US at Performance Center Delivery (PCD) . This has been discussed before. BMW is not willing to lose money twice on the same car. Be it ED or PCD, both are money losing proposition for BMW as Marketing expenditure.

Given you are in Atlanta, may I suggest to call my old friend, and our board sponsor Adrian at Nalley BMW in Decatour.

You can thank me later

Performance Center Delivery and European Delivery are mutually exclusive programs, so you have to do one or the other.

Yes, you can do ED from any center in the country, but once logistics and time are considered, it might be worthwhile to stick with your local dealer unless the dealer is ignorant regarding the ED process or doesn't want to give a discount on ED's

Many dealers charge a documentation fee to cover administration expense, gas, cleanup, etc. That way, whatever dollar amount is agreed over cost is determined to be profit and commissionable, if you will.

The answer is no, it's an either or proposition. Pick one and enjoy.

Give Adrian a call, you won't be sorry!

Thanks for the replies, I did a search first but could not find the answer.

Adrian is great guy, has good knowledge of his product and is easy to work with. I would rather not use the Rizzo method just to save paying a doc fee, but on principle I am not paying $400 for a dealership to write up an invoice and charge me sales tax. Maybe I am being unreasonable? Dealers have to make money somewhere.
