 Drop off on Saturday?

Reading the BMW USA website it appears that the drop off locations are closed on Saturday, but that is not explicitly stated. They say they are open Monday through Friday and closed on Sunday and holildays, but Saturday is not mentioned. As I'm planning for my trip it woudl help to know from others if they have been able to drop off on Saturday. I'm thinking of dropping off in Munich or one of the locations in Italy.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Possibly with sufficient prior arrangement and a fee. Not guaranteed.

If I had to choose Munich or Italy for a drop-off, I would Munich. They physically drive your car to Munich from Italy and you have to meet the driver at a specified time. From previous posts, it is a pain doing it and you don't know how they are going to treat your car on the way up. I am sure they are professional, but I would not trust my car to just anyone. In Munich however, you can stop by the Harms office and fill out your drop-off papers and leave it over the weekend or after hours. No problems, no extra money. Just call Harms when you are in Munich and they will be happy to help.

I second the Munich recommendations for the reasons stated. Best place to leave the car with the possible exception of the port itself.

So, If I reading your post correctly, it is possible to drop off in Munich on a Saturday if arrangements have been made with Harms in advance? Thanks for the advice on the Italy drop off. After your comment I read the BMW USA website and noted that the car would be driving back to Germany, not something I want to do with the new car.

Yes, it is very possible to do it. I was driving back Venice to Munich on a Friday and worried if I would make it by 4:00pm. Since I was flying home on Sunday, would have a brain aneurysm if I missed it. I called and arranged the drop-off and signed the paperwork to do so. Just make sure you bring your 2nd master key with you to give to them. We used their contact for a taxi, "Taxi Team" and had them waiting for us. They know where Harms is in Garching and will at the bottom of the elevated parking ramp at the specified time. Harms is in the back of an industrial park, so make sure you call the taxi before you leave. There are no phones around.

Enjoy!!
