This was my third ED, and, at 4 weeks, the longest. The car - 330i, manual, SG, Terra, SP, PP, sunshades. Miles driven - 2600. Itenary - Munich to Krakow to Wien.
June 18/19 - flight to Munich, check into the hotel, dinner on town
June 20 - after breakfast, we took the cab to Freiman, registered at the reception, and went upstairs to the cafeteria. The delivery was brief; I was already familiar with the car, and we had around 600 miles ahead of us that day. According to the bmw rep, they were doing around 30 ED's that day. Makes me wonder what's the highest number of cars delivered in a single day. We drove back to the hotel to get our luggage, and were on the autobahn by 10:30.
The trip to Krakow was uneventful. Mostly autobahn and autostrada all the way; keeping the car under 110 miles/h was the biggest challenge. The car is definitely quieter than the 330 Ci I owned previously, well suited for all day driving. The sport seats are fantastic, very supportive and very adjustable. For entertainment, I had a few cd-r with mp3's, radio displays the artist and song title, although navigating the songs is sequential. Logic 7 sounds good to me, much better than HK in my previous car.
Back to the trip - we arrived to Krakow around 7pm, checked into the apartment, and left the car in secured parking. The next two weeks we spent in and around Krakow, with trips to Warszawa, Auschwitz, Wieliczka. Our itenary was packed to the tilt, with days spent exploring historical sites, and nights enjoying the local cuisine. I would particularly recommend visiting Kazimierz - old Jewish quarter, site of the 'Shinlder's list' movie. The place comes alive in the evening, lots of restaurants with kosher and not so kosher food, live music, etc.
July 4 - we moved to Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains, picturesque town with great hikes and beautiful views. Unfortunately, a low front moved in to coincide with our arrival, bringing clouds and rain, which limited our excursions into the mountains.
July 11 - drive from Zakopane to Vienna through Slovakia, some pretty sights on the way, particularly around Trencin. After arriving in Vienna We went straight to AutoSerervice to drop off the car, barely made it before the 4pm closing. Paper work took 15 minutes to complete, and we were off to our apartment. For the next several days we explored Wien. Music and imperial aura dominate the city. Our apartment was next to the City Hall, and every night in an adjacent park there was an outdoor large screen opera showing.
July 18 - fly back home.
July 19 start planning next year trip

.
Likes about the car:
- driving dynamics - the suspension in SP rocks, stays composed regardless of road condition
- hill assist
- bluetooth phone integration
- adaptive headlights - you really get to appreciate them on narrow, winding country roads
- did I mention sport seats?
Dislikes - none so far after 4 weeks with the car, although I've been busy just being a tourist.
There was some questions in the past regarding phone usage in Europe. In the US, I use Imate Pocket PC on T Mobile as my phone/data device. When traveling in Europe, I usually buy local prepaid sim cards as they're less expensive for local calls. For the ED trip this year I picked a used Ericsson T68i on ebay as it's been verified as fully compatible with bluetooth on E90. It only took me couple of minutes to register the phone and transfer the phone book from sim card to the car. The system works very well, with good sound quality, and it's easy to use.
