 Call ahead for dropoff?

Hi all...

I'm on kind of a tight schedule, so I'm wondering if I need to be worried. My pickup date is next friday (Sept. 16th). My flight arrives in Munich at 10:35am that day. If I'm quick, what time should I expect to get to the factory at? How long does the whole process take? I'm just wondering if I'll have enough time to make it to the dropoff location (same day) before it closes. What time does it close at? Should I call ahead? Also... if this doesn't sound like enough time, has anyone had any success getting in contact with the dropoff place to organize a weekend dropoff (say, the next day the 17th)?

Thanks!

You need to inform the drop off location of your plans NOW. their contact info (e-mail and phone) would be on the BMW ED web page..

Delivery will be about 30 minutes. The wait can be up to two hours on Monday & friday. Allow 30- 45 minutes to clear customs and immigration and 30 minutes for a taxi ride to delivery center. Expect to arrive @ delivery center at noon and to be out between 1:00 & 3:00 PM depending how busy they are.

Yeah. And as a general matter, it's a good idea to call the drop-off place a couple of days in advance just to be sure they're open and expecting you. You don't want to be the 2% of people who show up and it's closed or closing or something, and have to catch a flight in two hours. (and 2% is a complete guess)

Like when we were going to drop off when it's a national holiday? We moved our trip back to avoid that though, thank goodness!
