I have a couple of luggage and customs related questions to my ed travel 10/7-10/15. thanks for answering them
1. on my departing flight from jfk-frankfurt-munich, what should i put down on the luggage tag for TO address? should I just put my usa address the same as FROM since I'll be staying from hotel to hotel and don't know any friends or relatives in europe. It'll be a damn shame if the airline loses my luggage bc i plan on having 1 carry on bag and 1 half filled luggage and 1 empty luggage for stuff i'll haul back from europe.
2. on my return flight from munich-heathrow-jfk, what is max weight they'll allow for 2 luggage? i plan on loading it up with swiss chocolate and unique items not found in usa. what type of items i should avoid with customs check in?
3. what euro stock parts are u people buying while doing ed to ship back to us? i really want the aux heater unit installed in my us spec car bc it is offered as an option over in europe, do u think i have a chance of having this done by one of the dealers over there?
thanks, btw i'll being flying with lufthansa 2for1, but on my return flight to jfk it'll be united airline. thanks for reading

The tag with your name is used as a last resort to return the luggage back to your home. Again confirm with info with your airline. This information should be on their website. Do not bring back any perishable food, plants, pork products. US Customs will remove it from your luggage. Remember that in Europe you will be paying 18% sales tax (VAT) which is non refundable unless the dealer is set up under the VAT refund program. Most people advise against getting the car modified in Europe. You would hate for VPC to remove an item that is not certified/approved for the US market. Just bring the parts and get installed here.

Is this your first trip abroad?

No, chocolate is not perishable - but there is the risk you´ll eat a lot of it en route.

Most airlines are now at 50 pounds per checked piece. 2 piece of checked + 1 carry on and a purse or notebook are allowed.
